We are so delighted to announce that we now have wheelchair access to the Britannia
Panopticon Music Hall! A very generous and kind donator recently gifted us the money to
buy a Skyline Stair Climber and two Evac chairs – all supplied by the fantastic and very
friendly Stair Climbing Company https://thestairclimbingcompany.com/
The Skyline is modelled here by Agnes from Mrs Mitchell’s Sweet Shop and at the controls
is Steve from The Stair Climbing Company. I cannot thank The Stair Climbing Company
enough for all their help and support and also of course our kind, if anonymous donator (you
know who you are).
The Skyline stairclimber is designed to attach to a variety of wheelchairs including self-
propelled, transit and some electric models. It is not, however, suitable for bariatric
wheelchairs.
If you want to visit and need to use our Skyline stairclimber to access the Britannia
Panopticion Music Hall, please get in touch before your visit so that we can arrange to have
the appropriate trained person greet you at the door with the Skyline. You can arrange your
visit by emailing info@britanniapanopticon.org and judith@britanniapanopticon.org
We look forward to greeting you soon!
